• Work principle:
  • Operation of solar collector is very simple
  • Solar absorption: radiation is absorbed by solar tubes and converted into heat
  • Solar heat transfer: heat pipes conduct heat from within solar tube up to header pipe
  • Solar energy storage: water is circulated through header, via intermittent pump cycling
  • Each time water circulates through header, temperatures is raised by 5 to 10°C throughout the day, water in tank is gradually heated
